For the past few years I have been earning my living with computers.
Right now I am working in North London with a group of like minded designers and programmers at egg lab ltd..
See my blog for bits of jQuery, PHP and Drupal hacking.
I was the first and last generation of school kids that were taught machine code, or assembly language. The first computer I ever used was a Commodore PET at school. There the game was Tank Battle - an addictive but blocky 2 player ascii character based game where the gun barrel was represented by the forward and back slash re-positioned to the corners of the square that represented your tank.
I was later captivated by the Sinclair ZX80, but it was when the successor to the ZX81, the Sinclair ZX Spectrum that things got exciting.
I've used BASIC, Pascal, various "4th level" scripting languages used by systems from Macromedia like Director and Flash's ActionScript. More recently I've been using PHP in conjunction with mySQL databases and JavaScript to create media rich and interactive web-sites. My most recent focus is upon the Content Management System Drupal in conjunction with JQuery.
